Academic Year 2005-2006
The Academic Research Computing User Group (ARCUG) was formed in fall 2005, with the approval of SAC, to address issues related to centralized research computing facilities (CRCF)at Northeastern University.
The charge to the committee is as follows:
1. Develop policies for efficient implementation of CRCF, such as the recently established research cluster. Policies include, but may not be limited to cluster expansion, CPU and storage allocation, account, funding and system policies.
2. Inform and advise the user community of computational opportunities at the facility and elsewhere.
3. Develop and promote use of national computing facilities.
4. Pursue external funding opportunities for growth of research computing facilities.
5. Develop policies and recommendations for software related to CRCF. Coordinate with other software committees that may also be operating.
6. Develop NU centric user education and support models.
